THE BOWLER SHIELD.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR MATCHES.
The cricket competition for the Bowler Challenge Shield will commence on December, 1, wheji the Waitoa team will play Paejroa at Paeroa. Matamata will play the holders on Dec,ember 2, Walton following on the 15th, and Morrinsville on the 22nd. The inter-club competitions will be suspended until thq shield games have been played.

LAST SATURDAY’S PLAY.
Continuing the primary sehqol competition for- the Malcolm Shield, on Saturday last the Paer.oa School A team journeyed to Kara.ngahake to play that schqol’s eleven. Karangahake batted first and made 38 (Mandeia 19, Bunting 16). Shand took fqur wickets for 4 runs, Arnold four for 22. and England two for 8. The Paeroa boys compiled 46 for the loss of four wickets (Arnold 30, Squthby 9). Hardman took two wickets for 15 runs and King one for 1.
