AURORA THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. THE BRANDED SOMBRERO. Buck Jones, cast as Stai’r Hallet in “The Branded Sombrero,” which is to be screened to-night, portrays the adopted son of “Honest” John Hallet, whose efforts to clear, the family ■Harne bring She wr-ath of Maggart, a treacherous hotel owner, down on him. Starr’s determined efforts to have his father’s name win the admiration of the townspeople, who rally to his defense and seal the fate of Maggart. THURSDAY NIGHT. THE FLAME OF THE YUKON. “The Flame of the Yukon'” is the new version of Monte Katterjohu’s splendid Klondike story, and is much superior in artistry to the; 1917 version macfe by the late Thomas liifce. The stqry is dramatic, and the various sce;nes depicting the.great gold rush are unusually captivating. CATHOLIC BAZAAR. TO-MORROW AND FRIDAY. The annual bazaar in connection with the Catholic Church is to be held in; the Gaiety Theatre, Paeroa, to-morrow and Friday, , November 8 and 9. For months past the ladies h'a,ve been busy preparing gpods for. the various stalls, which should prove very attractive. A baking competition is also to be held. The; bazaarwill be open both days, and also in the evenings. During the afternoon admission will bej fnea, but ip the evening one shilling will be charged.
