MRS. iLNNJLE DARBY. There pahsed away at the Whangarei Hospital on Thursday morning last -Mrs Ann,ie Daj'by, whbVreSjded at. Tliames for many years. The late Mrs, Darby was’ bqrn in Carnarvons.hir<& North Wales, where; she married the late; Mr William Darby. About 45 years ago Mr and Mrs Darby came tq New Zealand, first settling in Auckland, and then at Thames, where they resided for many year'.. Later they went to Waihi, where .Mr Darby died about ten years , ago fc The late Mrs, Darby leaves three daughters (Mesdames, S. S. Murray, of Turua, RLaurie, of Whanigarei, ;a,nd R. Gunn, of Wellington) anid four sons (Messis O. A. Darby, Auckland, S. A. C. Darby, Invercargill, 0. P. Darby, Poken-o, and J. H. Darby, Arapuni). • i The funeiral took place at Waihi on Friday, a service being held at St. James' Presbyterian Church, of which the deceased had been an active worker fqr many years. The service; wa* conducted by the Reverends J. D. Mc.Farlane, of Waihi, and A. Nicholls, of Turua.
