It wan considered that the position of tlie flood light was now satisfactory, and a spr.ingboja.rd. would be erected prior to the opening of the bath. The finances were practically exhausted, including the amount hejld. in trust by Cr. Edwards. Thei piece of spare ground between the bath and -the fence on the western' 'side had been levelled and grassed, a fair amount of this work being done by the local high School boys. The 'fission would be from Novem-i ber 1 to March 31, inclusive, to be extended if necessary.

The fees were set out as follows : Sea-on ticket, (nqt transferable), men, 12s 6d, ladies 7s 6d ; local school children and children unded 16 years 35,; single tic,ket 4d, local «chooi children ('including Convent) and children under 16 years 2d.

With reference to the closing hour, 7 p.m., Or. Edwards said he thought it was too early, e-jpepially as the 'summertime would be operating. Cr. Turner concurred, and thought that revenue would be lost. Cr. Silcock said that they should give the present time a trial. If tlie baths were well patronisiqd and there was a demand for extra time the council could consider the matter. They had to consider, the bath attendant, and the hours Were now fairly long. Cr. Flatt thqught that the hours proposed were reasonable. The .Mayor said that tlhe, council could revise the hours at any time, and an alteration could be made by giving notice of motion
