An invitation was received from the Waihi Rifle; Club for a team to vi it that 'Labour Day. The iuvi&Wn, was’ accepted, and it was decided to send! a team of six men. , A CHALLENGE'CUP. Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P., wrote thanking the club for re-electifi(g him. patron an|d asking that a challenge cup be accepted.frqm him for competition. The trophy was accepted, and it .was decided to thank Mr Samuel fqr. the interest ? he had taken in the club. OPENING. DAY. It was decided to open the seaspn to-morrow (October 13), and to ar j range a novice competition shoot at 20Oyd’s for the public, and also a sweepstake competition at the .same range for members of. the club kind visiting riflemen.• Ammunition, rifle's, and also afternoon tea, wquld be preprovided on the range.
