THE WAmKAIBURU CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The eighth annuaj meeting, of th|e Waitakaruru Tennis Club was, hedl on. Thursday evening, Mr A. H. McClean presiding over an ' attendance of 12 members. THE PAST SEASON. Reporting op the, year’s wqrk, th.®' prqsidenjt said that, the season had been a very successful one. Several pleasant club functions had been held which were qf great benefit, to thosie players who were not in the two ■teams. The club was unfortunate in having loqt two' of its best players and helpers, through departure- from, tlhe district. Thq balanpe-sheet showed a credit, at the beginning of ithe season of 5s 9d, and at the end of the season the balance was 4s 9d', the turnqver being £27 16s. Subscriptions totalled £2O 10s, and l donations £4 2s, while over £2O had been expended on tar arid sand. Commenting on, the balance-sheet, the president said that the club had dope well to meet sue.h a heavy expenditure o.n improvements out of. ordinary revenue. The: club had been assisted by the Domain Board, which had remitted the) annual rental. OFFICERS. Officers were elected as follows: — Presidtjnt, Mr A. H. McClean; vicepresidents, Messrs T. W. Elliott, M. Evitt, J. Thompson, W. Strettqn, H. Clover, J. Dqnaghy. H. Torr ; secretary. Mr G! L. Griffiths; delegate to Hauraki Plains Tcnnjis Association, Mr A. H. Mc.Clean ; executive committee, Mefesrsj A. Otter, G. Paton, F, Barlow, G. Pen\v, W. Hill; ladies’ com-: mitt.ee, Mesdames Ols.en, perry, Elliqtt, Misses Walker and Thompson; auditor, Mr T. AV.
