TURUA. TOWN BOARD ELECTION. An electiqn of commissioners for thq Turua Town District will not be necessary, as only the required number of candidates have been nominr ated. Tlie seven men nominated comprise flvq member? of the late board, Messrs J. Mules, J. T. Davies, J. McConnell, J. Schmidt, and S. C. Williams, together with Mr F. Olsqn, who was a member some years ago,‘and Mr H. H. Allan. Th.e membeir? who did not consent to, re-n'ominatian are Messr?'J. H. Johnston and A. C. Scott. TOWN BOARD MEETING. At the final meeting of the pres.e!nt Board o|n; Thursday evening Mr JMules presiding, complain? were made of speeding by service- cars, and it was decided that the owners be written to an.d warned that the Board intended prosecuting future offenders for dangerous driving. The clerk, Mr J. E. Green, was instructed to notify by advertisement that all owners of dogs who failed to register same.- would bq prosecuted Complaints; were alse. received concerning the very brilliant headlights Qn| some motor cars, which dazzled pedestrians and the drivers qf approaching cars. As it was contrary to the motor regulations tq use a car with dazzling headlights it was decided to ask the county in?pector to takte action. Prior, to closing the final meeting of the present board the chairman, Mr J. -Mules, expressed his thanks; and appreciation for the hearty support and coj-opera.tion of members during the past two years. All members had h<?he good work for the benefit of the district as a whole, and some some had given a great amount of attentiqn. on his motion the Services of Mr J. H. Jqhnston, who was not seeking re-elecflion,, were placed on recordNETHERTON. CHEESE FACTORY. In view of the desire of the N.Z. Co-operativq Dairy Co. to remove the boiler frqm the old Netherton cheese factory to the ne\y factory to be opened at Waitakaruru, the settlers of Netherton are being called upon to decidte whether they desire the cheese factory reopened: There is some agitation to cqmmence chetesemaking iu view of tlie bright prqspects.
