GALA DAY FOR PAEROA.
VISITORS FROM TAURANGA. ARRANGEMENTS FOR SATURDAY. At the meeting of the Paeroa Rugby Union last night the matter of the entertainment of the visitors on Saturday next was considered. It was felt that the townspeople generally would give, a willing ha.nd to assist th'e union in making adequate arrangements, and with that en[d in view Father. Taylor and Mr E. P. Fathers were detailed by the, union as managers for the occasion. The special! train from Tajiranga will reach Paeroa at 10.30 : a.m., and will have on board fqur football teams and hockey, basketball, an/l golf teams;, besides a large number of supporters of the various, games and those who will make tire' journey in order to avail themselves qf the' excursion. FOOTBALL. The football matches will commence at 1.30 p.m., whe,n the primary schools and high schools will try conclusions on the No: 2 No. 1 grounds: respectively. These matches will be followed by the junior representatives qn the No. 2 ground aii)d t> -. isfenior representatives on the No. 1 ground a,t 3 o’clock. LAST SATURDAY’S RESULTS. The ladies’ monthly .medal round was won by Mfs? with a net sco,re of 76. The same, player won the trophy presented by Mr Bell, Miss L. Thorp, with a net spore ojf 80, being second. In the play-qff between Mrs Miller and Miss, Masters in( the sealedhole bogey competition Miss Masters won '5 up. The men’s; .monthly medal round was won by H. H. Bray, with a score of 81.
