KEREPEEHI. THE SCHOOL. The new class-room at the Kerepeehi school will be- available for use after the. holidays, and the congestion, which of late has become acute, will be relieved to a certain extent. When the attendance becomes normal there will not be- room to spare, even with the new class-room. Farmers of the district will plough and level the playground when opportunity offers. The paths have beep sanded, apd when all the contemplated- works arb completed the Kerepeehi school will be a very pretty spot. AWAIT I CANAL BRIDGE. Steady progress has been made with’’ the erection of the, bridge over the • Awaiti canal nea.r Kerepeehi, on, the new road to Kaihere across .the Kerepeehi block. All the piles have be,endriven, ai)|d the caps were, being placed in position on Monday. Three* or four weeks should see the structure completed; an.d' possibly the r.oad open. The approaches to the bridge on each side have beein completed, a dredge having been employed. The short leuigth fljf th road' on the Kerepeehi block, which was completed with the rest of the road some years ago, is now receiving a coating of red metal.
