v PAEROA LADIES’ CLUB.

LAST SATURDAY’S MATCHES.

FollojiMeifS of hockey had plenty to interest them on Saturday afternoon, when the Paeroa Ladies’ Club played two matches at the local domain. The A team proved <OO superior n combination for the Ngatea High School team and gained a comfortable win by s’x goals to nil. The scollers wei® Misses A. O’Neil (4) and V. Shand (2). The W. G. H. Weadon and Mr L. Mahon were referees. The B. team, which has) shown cqn- . siderable improvement recently, playeff an interesting match with the Turua team, the result b&ing a draw, two goals each. Misses L. Aberhart au’l J. Madgwiek scored for Turua, and Misses D. Wilson and M. Epps for Pael'oa. Mr Mahon also refereed this match. The visitors we-re afterwards entertained to tea by the home team at the Parish Ha,U.

HAURAKI PLAINS GAMES.

Tlie only ladies’ hockey match on 'the Hauraki Plains o ( n Saturday was a match at. Ngatea between the Ngritea Ladies and the' Te Aroha Club’s team,'in return for the match at Te Aroha a fortnight ago. On that occasion the Plains ladies won by three goals .to one, but on Saturday the visitors were successful by two, goals to nil. Several of the Plains players received bad knocks.
