VETERINARY CLUB.
HAURAKI PLAINS BODY. MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The executive committee of the Farmers’ Veterinary Club met at Ngatea last evening, Mr C. W. Schultz presiding over (Messrs R. Burke, G. Phillips, R. H. McCraith, A. Cleaver, J. McCarthy, W. Andrews, and! the secretary, Mr C. A. Gibson. SURGEON’S REPORT. The surgeon, Mr J. Costello, reported having made 69 visits to 39 members during ,the month of July. MEMBERSHIP. < Eight new members were enrolled'. SURGEON’S CAR. Mr McCarthy reported on the. action of the committee ih acquiring a car for the surgeoji. T.he committee’s action was approved, and it was decided that the committee, remain in operation 'to watch over the car. FINANCE. Accounts totalling £7 6s 5d were passed for payment. The secretary reported that the ■long outstanding accounts due to the club had been cleaned up. 'BOOKLETS. The matter of the. surgeon preparing a booklet on the treatment of minor ailments in stock, as advocated by a Nethertcjn member, was brought up by the chairman and briefly discussed. It was decided that the scheme was not practicable.
