FOOTBALL.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR TO-MORROW.
WEST V. SUBURBS.
Supporters of Rugby football should find-plenty to interest them at the local domain to-morrow afternoon, when the West and Suburbs senior .teams will again play off to decide which is to hold the championship this season. Last season the West club won the shield, with Suburbs runners-up.’ The match to-morrow should be. a really good’ exhibition of football. On each side a strong team will be fielded, and nothing will be left to chance. ’-The Suburbs forwards are a good lot. and probably are a little better than the West vanguard, but thes West backs will take a lot of beating, and, given a fine day, the play will be fast. The West team will be as follows : D. Fraser, G. Wells, A. McQuar.ters, J. Verran, R. Swann, L. Niehl, L. C. Masters, W. Taylor, A. Hamilton, M. Sweeney, W. Southby, V. Carrick, M. Poland, F. Knight, C. Snow. Emergencies : H. McKee and R. Shaw. As a curtain-raiser to the senior ■match a Thames Valley Primary Schools’ Union A and B trial match will be played on the No. 2 ground. At the conclusion of this game the Thames Valley representative team ■to play for the. Northern Roller Mills'. Shield will- be selected.
