Miss L. RICHARDS. GIFTS FROM “GAZETTE” OFFICE. After occupying the position of accountant to the firjn of Messrs W. D. Nicholas, Ltd., proprietors, of the Hauraki Plains Gazette, -for the past; three and a-half years, Miss L. Richards has resigned owing to her approaching marriage. Tiie occasion was taken by the staff at the conclusion of business ’oil Saturday l:ist to fare-well Miss Richards. i In presenting her; with a handsome entree d'ish on behalf of the manage■mfent Mr W. D. Nicholas, majiaging-direct-or, paid a tribute to the loyal and faithful service at a,ll times efficiently and cheerfully given by Mis s Richards. In expressing regr’et at 10-ing her from their midst Mr Nicholas wished tiie recipient every good! wish for hen future- happiness, together with long, life of good' health. . As a slight token, of the esteem in which she is held Miss Richards was also called upon to accept a- dainty xylonite toilet set with the hearty good wishes of the staff. On behalf of Miss Richards Mr F. E. Flatt expressed thanks for thp. gifts and kind sentiments accorded her.
