M/ITCHES AGAINST TAURANGA.
LAST SATURDAY’S RESULTS. >On Saturday last the Paeroa Basketball Association seat four teams|to Tauranga and the local Convent one team to play friendly matches against Tauranga teams. Thei Paeroa lades’ reprtesentative team gained an easy v'ictcny of 50 points to 0 over the Tau--''anga representatives. Of the four school teanto which made the trip the Conveii't was the 'only one to wlp its match. Following are the results : — Representatives, Paeroa 50, v. Tau-I'-anga 0 ; Tauranga. High School A 16, v. Paeroa High Sor-00l A 10 ; Tauranga High School B 18, v. Paeroa H"gh School B 6 ; Tauranga Primary School 12. v. Paetoa Primary School 2 ; Paeroa Convent 16, v. Taunapiga Primary School B 4'.
The referees were Misses H. Taylon and E. Freeman (Paeroa) and Pegler (Tauranga). The visiting teams were hospitably entertained by the Tauranga teaching staff and friends.
