CYCLIST INJURED.
ACCIDENT AT NGATEA. STRUCK BY MOTOR TRUCK. A man named R- BCiaslejy was injured on Orchard East Road, Ngatea, on Saturday evening. It appears that Mr, eßasley was returning to his : home on a bicycle from Ngatea, where lie ■had taken part in a football match. After proceeding some distance, an injury to his ankle: caused him to dismount, and he was walking, along the s;iik>, of the road wheeling, his bicycle when he was struck by a passing motor-truck. Later the injured man wasi found by Mr H. B. Sparrow, of Ngatea, who, after doing what he could, drove Mr Beasley to. the Thames Hospital, where it was found that the •head injuries sustained required the insertion of eight stitches.
