CHEESE FACTORY ASSURED. CARTAGE OF WfftlLE MILK. „ At a meeting at Ngatea yesterday of Waitakaruru settlers interested: in the proposal to have a cheese factory erected by the N.Z. Co-operative Dairy Co. in their district, tenders for the collection of whole milk from farms in the same manner as cream igj now collected were received, and were considered satasfaqtory. As this was the deciding factor in the establishment of the factory the proposal will be gone on with, and 'it is hoped that a four-vat; factory, costing approximately £BOOO, wMI be opened by November 1.

The factory will be erected on the eastern tflde of the Maukoro canal on Mr Everitt’s, section, and will be; capable of dealing .with the milk of over 800 cows. The milk will be collected by Mr Barlow, the successful tenderer, from the Pipi-roa Road farms as far as Dalgety’s corner, and from the Canal Road farms. The cans will be washed at the factory and returned li-n a clean state. Whey will be available for sale in bulk.
