OBITUARY.

MR. HENRY BLADES. Another old identity of Paeroa passed aw.ay on Sunday last at the Thames Hospital in the person of Mr Henry Blades, who for many years lived in a cottage near Quarry Road, P.a.eroa. Born at Bourn, England, about 80 years ago, deceased followed the calling of a sailor. In the course, of one voyage his ship called at Auckland, where he left the vessel and eventually found his way to Paeroa, where he Svas engaged in labouring work for, many yea,rs, and became a familiar figure, about the town. Failing health compelled deceased, who was an old-age pensioner, to enter the Thames Hospital about three months ago. He had no relatives in the Dominion, and was interred at the Thames Cemetery oh Monday afternoon.
