On Saturday afternoon last tlie Paeroa lades’ A team .defeated a Waihi eleven by two goals to nil at tihe local domaiiK
In the first half the visitors were kept on the defence nearly all the time. Although Miss Shand nettefl one goal only during that spell, the. local forwards were inclined to e’ther bunch up or else get tab far, from one another. In the second half th© game was more even. The visitors took the ball into the circle on several occasions, but the home backs played well and their defence proved' sound. Soon after commencing the second hlf Miss Shanfl again netted for, Paeroa. Her goal was a good one, she having made a solo effort from outside the twenty-five I'ne. The game ended without any further score and with Waihi on the attack. Messrs L. Mahon and E. McCarthney were referees.
