HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— At Frankton on Tuesday we had a good yarding of fat and store cattle and a fair yarding of fat. and store sheep. There was a- smaller yarding of fat and store pigs than usual. Beef, although firm, was easier than last week. Fa.t sheep were very firm, again at improved, prices. There was good competition for store sheep, but store, cattle in some cases did not reach vendors’ reserves. Fat pigs were equal to last, sale, with better competition for stores. Fat steers, light, brought £ll 7s 6d; extra prime heavy cows £ll 15s’to £l2 4s ; prime cows, £9 7s 6d to £9 15s ; fat cows £7 5s to £8 7s 6d ; prime; fat heifers £lO, plain and unfinished £4 15s to £5 7s ; store cows £3 to £3 ID’S-; well-bred 2 year Shorthorn steers £5 13s to £6 is ; 2-ycar steers, good colours, £5 to £5 ss; Sheep : Extra prime fat ewes 39s to £2 ss; prime heavy fat wethers £2 3s 6d to £2 6s 3d ; fat ewes 29s 6d, plain 25s 3d te 26s ; forward hoggets 23s 9d to 24s ,fat hoggets 27s 3d, small 18s ; small wethers in low condition 23 ,9d ; cull ewes. 15®. Pigs : Best baeoners £3 14s to £3 16s, others £3 2s to £3 9s ; best porkers £2 5s to £2 Us, light 36s to £2; sow® 37s 6d to £2 10s ; slips 235; weaners 16s to 18s, small 8s 6d to 12s.
