An offer was submitted to yesterday’s meeting of tlie Ohinemuri County Council by Mr H. Julian to take over the- council’s Komata metal quarry, instal his own p>l;a,nt, and supply metal to the council at certain prices provided the council, would place an order for 5000 cubic yards. A similar offer was made with reference to Morris’ quarry. Karangahake. After some d'scussion the matter was referred to' the chairman (Cr H. M. Corbett), Cr. J. B. Morris, and the engineer.
