GIRL GUIDES.
VISIT FROM' WAIHI MEMBERS. IMPRESSED WITH PAEROA GUIDES A parade of the First Company, Girl, Guides, was held at the Parish Hall J,ast night, when, at the invitation, of Captain Emmott, the Mayoress of Waihi (Mrs W. M. Wallnutt) and the prospective officers of the, Brown Owl and Tawny Ow'l, troops, together with some Waihi supporters of the movement, paid ;a.n informal, visit of inspection. The troop performed a number of marching evolutions and gave a demonstration of patrol comer work and Indian club swinging. The visitors were much impressed with tlie; work of the. troop, and! l,eft full of enthusiasm for the success of the company which is In process of being formed at YVa.ihi.
In the near future it is the inten-, tion of the local troop to visit Waihi and convey to the new troop best wishes for the members’ welfare a!pd success.
