MR; A. M. SAMUEL AT TURUA.
ADDRESS ON RURAL CREDIT.
There wa.s a large and representative gathering of people at the Public Hall, Turua, on, Wednesday night, when Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P., addressed the meeting on faagners’ finance matters, dealing particularly with the operations of the Rural, Advances Act, 1926, and the Rural Ihtermeidiate Credit Act, 1927. The chairman was Mr P. R. Henry, president of the Turua Ratepayers’ Association.
During the course of his address Mr Samuel, pointed out that the N.Z. Co-opera.tive Dairy Co., Ltd., ‘and other daily companies had made arrangements with the Rural Credits Board to guarantee their suppliers with the board.
Mr F. J.'e. Moore, Public Trustee, Hamilton,, and district supervisor, of the Rural Intermediate Credits Board, also addressed: the meeting, and at the conclusion a number of questions were asked and answered. A hearty vote of thanks to Messrs Samuel and Moorq wag carried by acclamation.
