DISTRICT NEWS.
NGATEA. BOWLING. CLUB. A further meeting to discuss the formation of a bowling and croquet club in Ngatea was held on Thursday evening, Mr W. G. Hayward presiding. It was decided that it was desirable to form a dub, and a committee comprisiilg Messrs R. B. Paul, S. Birkenhead, A. R. Vowles,. C. S. Foster, and E. W. Martin, with power to add, was empowered to canvass for members and collect a deposit of £1 Is. being one-third of the annual subscription, fiwm intending members. It was resolved that the financ’ng of the work be by the issue of debenr tu res. It was decided to ask Mr E. L. Walton to be treasurer pro. tern-, and Messrs F. Basham.' McLaren, and A. Constantine were deputed to obtain particulars and quotations for the laying down of the grcei®.
