PAEROA RUGBY UNION.

MEETING OF COMMITTEE.

The management committee of the Paeroa Rugby Union held its weekly meeting on Monday night, the chairman (Mr W. P. Pennell) presiding over Messrs E. P. Fathers, H. Tams, E. Edwards, L. E. Shaw, J. Pinder, agf K. s. Slyfleld (actingnsecretary). karangahake players. ' r It was, reported by Mr Tams that the Karangahake players J. Le e , J* Rackham, and J. O’Brien, who resided within the Paeroa union’s boundary, had played under the Waihi union without the permission of the local union. Mr Fathers pointed o|ut that it was necefisarj’ to abide by the rules, and he thought some definite action should be taken. After some discussion it was resolved, on the motion of Mr Pinder, that the matter be brought under the notice of the Thames Valley Rugby Union at its first meeting. LEAGUE PLAYERS. Application were received from the East club on behalf of W. G. Glasgow and the West club for J. Lewis for reinstatement from the League code to Rugby. It was decided to accept the appli - - cations and to forward them to the Thames Valley Union. MATCH WITH KEREPEEHI. A letter was received from the Kerepehi club asking for a junior match on Saturday next. It was decided to grant the request provided the visitors were prepared tq commence at 1.45 p.m. AFFILIATION FEES. Affiliation fees were received from the West club for its senior, junior, and third grade teams, £1 16s 6d; Pirates, senior team, £1 Is ; and 1 East club senior, junior, and third'-grade teams, £1 16s 6d. HAURAKI PLAINS BOUNDARY. It was reported by Mr Shaw that he'had gone into the question of the boundary between the local and the Hauraki Plain's unions, and so far as lie was able to ascertain nothing more & 'than a verbal agreement existed. j The. question of E. Fisher and. H. Wright, of Netherton, being within their rights in playing for the Kerepeehi club was held up in the meantime. FINANCE. The gate receipts at Paeroa on Satur.clay last were reported by the secretary to be £3 2s. Accounts amounting to £3, Is were passed for payment.
