ACCIDENTS AT FOOTBALL
FIVE CASUALTIES ON SATURDAY. A Suburbs played named Murphy received a knock on the head at Hikutaia on Saturday, and appeared to be badly hurt. He was carried. off the field ami Dr. Little was summoned from Paeroa to attend him. R. Mor risen, and other Suburbs player, re* ceived a bad knock in the back and had to leave the field. Three Hauraki Plains senior-lgrade footballers were injured in matches on Saturday. While playing for Kqrepeehi at Ngatea. Mr F. Mulgrew was thrown heavily, apd received slight concussion of the bi'.aan, which caused paralysis of the- neck and shoulder. Hei was removed to the residence of Mr J. Costello, and early in the evening had recovered sufficiently to be able to proceed home. A Turua player, Mr G. Elvin, had four ribs broken While playing, and W. Clark sprained his ankle.
