NGATEA PUBLIC HALL.
SOUND FINANCIAL POSITION.
PUBLIC INVITATION.
The Ngatea Public Hall is. owned and controlled, by an iacorporated society which was formed about seven years ago, and it is doubtful if thera are two dozen, members of the society in the district. The h;afll has. an income of over £3OO year, and the assets cf the society at March 31 were set downi in the annual balance-sheet and statement of assets, and' liabilities at over £lO5O, less, a bank overdraft of £lO4 8s lid. Last year; thq overdraft wialsi reduced by £164, so the society is in a sound financial position. Possibly it is with the idea of awakening interest in the hall, or to give the public an opportunity of hearing explanations of matters which have given rise to much adverse public criticism since the Press was excluded from meeting, 'that the public is invited to attend the annual meeting Which is to be held next Tuesday avening .
