FULLER’S REVUE CO.

MUSIC, SONG, AND STORY. ENTERTAINMENT AT PAEROA. The keenly anticipated visit of Fuller’s presentation of F. Gayle Wyer’s Bandbox Revue Company took place at the Aurora Theatre, Paeroa, on Thursday night. The large audience was, treated to over two hours of wholesome fun and frolic, and thq well-balanced programme was thoroughly enjoyed from the opening ensemble to the grand finale. The first ihallf of the programme was devoted to variety items of musical and comedy absurdities featuring a snappy chorus party and the “Syncopated Steppers.” comprising six dainty girls. Miss Elsa Scott proved herself to be a clever child impersonator, and was very go,cd in “I’m a filing-faced stepmother’s ch Id.” The comedian of the ' show ,was Charles Norman, who was undoubtedly a perfect fool. His character sketch “The Rev. Nippem” was as cle.ver as it was ridiculous, and caused the audience to rock with laughter. Miss Ena Gordon’s rendering of “Mary O’Neill” won her well-merited applause. "The costumes and stage appointments were of a high standard. The first .half of thc> programme concluded with a. pretty crinoline dance scene;. After the interval the remainder of the programme was devoted to the one-act farce “Black E'agle,” which provided endless merriment for the audience. As Issadore Cohen (an ohltimer) Sam Ward proved- himself to be. an actor of no mean ability, and with Charles Norman as Grubby McNutt (who sold horse medicine) the combinat on was complete ; and the efforts of these two to capture Black Eagle (the outlaw), played by Billy Bovis, were refreshingly funny. Altogether, the show was really -good and well worth going to see. „
