NEW MAIN HIGHWAYS.
DISTRICT ROADS GAZETTED. The following additional roads in the Ohinemuri, Hauraki Plains, and Thames counties have been brought into the No. 2 highways district and declared main highways:— ORONGO-NETHERTON. All that road or portion of road in the Hauraki Plains County commencing at its junction, with the PokenoWaihi junction to Coromandel main highway at a point opposite the north-western corner of section 30s in Block XL, Thames Survey District, and proceeding generally in a southeasterly direction through. Blocks XI and XII., Thames Survey District, Blockjs 111. and VII., Waihou Survey District, arid the township of Turua, and terminating at its junction with the Pokena-Waihi main highway at a point opposite the south-eastern coiner of section 1, Te Ara.whakape,kar peka Block, in Block VIL, Waihou Survey District, being a distance of 8 miles 50 chains, more or less. HIKUTAIA-NETHERTON FERRY. All that road or portion of road, in the Thames and Ohinemuri counties commencing at its junction with the Paeroa-Kopu main highway at a point opposite the northern end of &he Hikutaia railway station bn Thames-Auckland railway, and proceeding generally in a southwesterly direction through Blocks VIII. and VII., Waihou Survey District and across the Waihou River, and terminating at its junction with the PokenoWaihi main, highway at the Netherton ferry, being a distance of 3 mi*les 20 chains, more or less.
