PAEROA RUGBY UNION.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The first meeting of the unapagement committee of the Paeroa Rugby Union’ was held at Mr W. Bain’s Rooms on Tuesday of last week, there being present Messrs M. Crosby, J. Pinder, L. E. Shaw, Rev. Father. Taylor, E. P. Fathers, W. P. Pennell, and D. S. Kej-r (secretary), Mr Pennell was unanimously elected chairman for the ensuing season. On the motion of Mr Pinder, seconded by Mr Fathers, the Pirates Club was admitted to the Union. Delegates to the Thames Valley Rugby Union were appointed as follows : Messrs Pennell, Crosby, and the secretary. It wa s decided to commence,' work on the playing areals immediately, and the club competitions were schedto commence on Saturday April A vote of thanks was passed to the Referees’ Asociation, and the secJjetary was instructed to write and thank the association for its co-opera-tion and help. z After a lengthy discussion on the insurance of players it was decided to obtain reports from the Hauraki Plains and Piako unions concerning their schemes. Accounts totalling £3 Is 6d were passed for payment.
