BOY SCOUTS.

CHIEF COMMISSIONER’S VISIT. INSPECTION OF PAEROA TROOP. General Andrew, Dominion Chief Commissioner for the Boy Scout Movement in New Zealand, was a visitor to Paeroa on Friday evening last, when he made an inspection of the local troop. He was. met a,ml welcomed to Paeroa by Mr C. Pascoe, chairman of the local committee. The troop gave a display of first-aid and ambulance work, on which the, Commissioner complimented them. He also presented to the troop the W. WSlcott Cup and to each of the four boy.s who represented the troop a miniature cup. General Andrew gave an interejsting address to the boys on the aims and objects of the Scout movement and asked every one to live up to the ideals of the movement. He w r ais sure thei Scout movement must produce practical results, in the lives of the boy s.

At the close of the inspection the boys entertained their General to supper.
