SERVICE CAR CAPSIZES.
ACCIDENT NEAR POKENO.
DRIVER SERIOUSLY’ INJURED.
A Studebaker car, owner by .Mr JWoods, of Waihi-Auckland Aard Service, containing three passengers, capsized near Pokcno this morning, the driver, Mir W. Thompson, son of Mr J. M. Thompson, of Kerqpochi, being seriously injured. Mr Thompson was taken to a doctor in Papakura, who ordered 'his removal to the Auckland Hospital.
Details of the accident are meagre, but it is understood, that the accident was caused by the driver swerving his car suddenly to avoid a big luggage bag dropped by another service car immediately ahead. It is believed that the passengers escaped injury.
