FINALS OF TOURNAMENTS.
LIST OF WINNERS. The Hauraki Plains Tennis ApsociaLtion’s annual tourney, which has lasted for some weeks, is now completed, the full list of winners being as follows :— THE CHAMPIONSHIPS. Men’s Singles.—S. Coppins, Ngatea ; runner-up, V. O’Connor, patetonga. Prize, the Ford Cup and miniature, presented by the association. Ladies’ Singles —Miss,’ B. Duffy, Patetonga; runner-up, Mrs F. Clotworthy, Turua. Prize, the “Hauraki Plains Gazette” cup and' miniature. Men’s. Doubles. —Copping Bros., Ngatea ; runners-up, W. Murphy and D. G. McMillan, Hopai. Prizes, trophies donated by the association. THE HANDICAPS. Men’s Singles.—M. O’Connor, Patetonga ; runner-up, W. E. Murphy, Hopai. Ladies’ Singles.—Miss B. Duffy, Patetonga ; runner-up, Miss M. Clotwortihy, Turua. Men’s,. Doubles.—McKay and Candy, Kopuarahi ; runnersi-up, Paton and Morgan, Waitakaruru. Ladies’ Doubles. —Mrs F. and Miss M. Clotworthy, Turua; runners-up, Misses Duffy, Patetonga.
Mixed Doubles.—A. E. Ludlow and Mr® Bertqlsen, Ngatea ; runners-up, C. N. and Mrs O’Loughlin, Kerepeehi. In the final of the men’s handicap doubles McKay and Candy (owe 10) beat Morgan and Paton (owe 8), 70—65.
The prizes for all the handicap tournaments are trophies by the association. These will be presented at the annual ball.
