As the annual meeting of the Hauraki Plains Rugby Union is to be 'held at the beginning of next month the dubs will be holding tiheir annual meetings shortly.
At Monday’s meeting of the Thames Hospital Board the chairman' (Mr W. 'E. Hale- said he. had interviewed some of the .settlers at' Patetonga and expressed disappointment .at the small amount paid in fees for the services of the Pate,tonga district nurse. He had received a sympathetic hearing, and an assurance that, an effort would be made to tighten up the collection of fees.
