Mr E. G. PrestPn, of the secondary department at the Paeroa District High School, lias had a serious breakdown in health, and it is probable that it will be some months before he will be able to resume duty.

Captain W. Searle, officer in charge of the locail, Salvation Army Corps, leaves Paeroa, to-day for ‘ Auckland, where he will enter a private hospital for an operation following on an injury sustained in a motor-car cdllisiion in London, some years ago. During his absence Lieutenant J. \Lee„ of Wellington, will be in charge at Paeiva.
