BOWLER SHIELD COMPETITION.
LOCAL TEAM TO PLAY WAITOA. The Bowler Shield for Thames Valley cricket has again changed handsOn Saturday Waitoa, the challengers, met Morrinsville, the holders, and secured a win by 79 runs on the first innings, thus taking the shield to defend it against .Paeroa and Te Aroha before the end of March. The Paeroa club’s challenge the trophy has been accepted by AVaz-* 2 toa, and the match is to be played at Waitoa on Saturday afternobtf next. Following is the team: G. Sale, F. Dare, J. Rackham, AV. H. Taylor, AV. Flower, G. Stack, F. Knight, J. Ball, J. Verran, C. Rolton, P. Meacliem. Emergencies : J. M. Fox and AV. L. Lawrence. Cars will leave the post office at 12.30 p.m. sharp.
