TURUA LADIES’ CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING.
The Turua Ladies’ Hockey Club held its first annual meeting on Friday- evening, Mr F. Walsh presiding in the absence of the president over an attendance of 15 members •. and! supporters. The annual 1 report stated that in the first year satisfactory progress had been made and the club was now on a sound\footing. The balance-sheet showed receipts totalling £55 3s 9d and expenditure £4l 6s 6d. Subscriptions totalled £7 3s, donations 16s 6d, and socials, etc., £46 13s 9d, while the major items of expenditure were sticks ".7 18s 3d and sOcials. £32.
Officers appointed for the season were : President, Dr. E. R> Lange, vice-presidents, Messrs W. Watts and R. Hill; secretary and treasurer, Miss J. Madgwick; delegates to the Association, Messrs B. Tynan and D- Henwood ; executive committee, the officers and Misses L. Aberhart and G> Blvin.
z The subscription fee was fixed at 2s 6d.
It was decided to aproach the. Domain Board for the use of a playing field and to endeavour to secure the services of a cO'ach.
