Mr A. F. Steedman has returned to Paeroa'after a month’s holiday, and has resumed duty as manager of the local branch of tlie Bank of New Zealand.

The Rev. J. Charteris, of. Turua, who is leaving about the middle of next month for Inglewood, Taranaki, .is to be succeeded by the Rev. A. Nicholls, of Waerenga.

Superintendent W. J. Moore, of the local volunteer fire brigade, left Paeroa yesterday for New Plymouth. *to attend the annual conference of the Uriited Fire Brigade’s Association.
