Mr A. M. Shmuel, M.P., arrived at Paeroa this morning , and left immediately for the Orongo soldiers’ settlement.
The Rev. D. Maddison, the newlyappointed vicar of Hauraki Plains, arrived in Turua from Wellington last evening.
Mr R. A. Abel, senior signal inspector, and Mr E. H. Pritchard, signal inspector, N.Z. Railways, were on an official visit to Paeroa on Monday in connection with the installation 'of the electrical locking andl signalling apparatus.
