SWIMMING BATHS.

TO BE 'FINISHED NEXT MONTH. REPORT BY COMMITTEE. At Thursday nighUs meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council the chairman of the Baths Committee (Or. J. W. Silcock) reported that the committee had drafted proposed by-laws and would, submit them for the, consideration of the council. Exceptionally good progress had been made with the excavations \and construction’ of the baths in Princes Street, and it was fortunate that the weather bad been so favourable for that class of work. It was expected to have the baths and appointments completed hy March 31. Arrangements were in hand for the appointment of a caretaker at a reasonable remuneration, and the matter would be finalised at next month’s meeting. It was decided to defer discussion of the by-laws and other matters until the March meeting. The report was adopted.
