That the climate of Whangamata is admirably suitable for fruit-grow-ing was clearly shown to the party which visited there on Saturday. At the hotel there is. a fine orchard, and the peaches and apples were particularly large and luscious. In one instance four Gravenstein apples were .Weighed, the total weight being 41b 2oz. Not only is; the fruit of a large size, but it is free of blight or disease. ,
