PILL BUSINESS TO BE SOLD.
THE DERBY ESTATES
A big deal, involving tlie Beecham’s Pill business, the; Covent Garden estates, and Lord-Derby’s, settled estates at Liverpool, Bootle, Kirkdale, and Wai top, is being put betfore the de-benture-holders and shareholders of Beecham Estates and Pills, Limited, asys a London paper.
This company owns the; Covent Garden estates and the pill business. Mr Phillip E. Hill/ onto of its directors, who is also largely interested in other proprietary medicine concerns, is offering to buy the pill business from the company for about £1,200,000 and to se,U to the company the Derby estates; for £1,717,500, the company paying Mr Hill the difference of. about £517,500 in cash.
The Derby estates are valued by Messrs Goddard and Smith at £2,211,000.
