WAIKATO MARKET REPORT. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— Beef.—Thea-e is a - good demand, with prices firm; for both ®x and cow beef, best prime ox making equal, to 30s per 100, and cow and. heifer 255. These prices are considered very satisfactory for this time of the year. Fat Sheep.—There lias been n'° change since the New Year, w-th the exception of, fat ewes, which are somewhat easitsr. Exporters are not operating freely yet on ewe and wether mutton, practically all available space being required for lamb. Store Sheep.—Good yardings have been coming forward, principally of rape and store, lambs, which have been meeting with good competition considering the long dry s P ell and the failure of the rape crops. With a continuance of the dry weather cull lambs are the class most likely to be affected in prices.
Store Cattle.—Very small yardings have, been coming forward, but there is a good demand for all classes. Pigs.—Both fats and stores continue to come forward in large numbers, fats making equal to 4d per lbStores are a good deal easier, with weavers very low, due, no doubt, to the milk supply going off.
