PAEROA RAINFALL.

1927 A DRY YEAR.

LIGHT FALL IN DECEMBER. The rainfall for Paeroa. for 1927, as recorded by the local office of the Public Works Department, was considerably below the average for the last three years. Rain fell on 192 days during the twelve months, the total fall be.ing 46.39, which is 16.45 inches less than in 1926, when the total was 62.84 inches. Rain also ffell one ight days less last year than in 1926.

During last month the total rainfall registered was 1.65 Inches, a decrease of 2.35 inches on the corresponding month, in 1926'. Rain fell on 13 days during December, the heaviest fall being recorded on the Bth, when the amount was .32 of an inch.
