Mr A. Meek, Government auditor, is at present in Paeroa on business.
Dr. A. S. Gray has been appointed deputy medical superintendent at the Thames Hospital fpr six months.
Mr D. W. Dunlop, supervisor of the manual and technical branch, Board of Education, was in Paeroa yesterday.
Mr W. G. K. Kendrick, stipendiary magistrate at Rotorua, has resigned fom the magistracy as from early in the New Year. Mr Kendrick was in practice as a barrisiter and solicitor at Paeroa, some twenty years ago.
