AURORA THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. WAR PAINT. Written by so famous an author as Peter Kyne, and starring so distinguished a figure as Colonel Tim McCoy, “War Paint,” to be shown tonight, is a unique screen offering. It is an adventurous epic of the; Red Indian rising of 1877. While retaining its authentic note, if has been cleverly spiced with action and romance. SATURDAY NIGHT. SEE YOU IN JAIL. Los Angeles is the locale of, “See You in Jail,” which is to be screened to-morrow night, but it does not include Hollywood or the film industry. Jack Mulhall is featured, and Alice Day plays opposite him. The jail, the city streets, and a. view of Pershing Square with its crowd of the jobless, all have a prominent part in the comedy. STAGE MADNESS. Mother-love and tender romance are the ingredients used in “Stage Madness,” also to be screened to-morrow night. Virginia Vallj, cast as a beautiful actress who loves the stage better than home, is said to give the finest portrayal of her interesting screen career. TURUA PICTURES. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 26. “The Country Beyond,” showing at Turua to-morrow, is another James Oliver Curwood story with the usual background of imposing grandeur mountains, lakes, and wilderness. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29. “Three Bad Men,” to be shown on Tuesday next, deals with President Grant’s proclamation of the opening of the Sioux lands in the Dakota State for white settlement, which was the signal for a vast westward movement of people from the overcrowded centres of population. This is an outstanding Fox special.
