ARRANGEMENTS FOR SATURDAY

TEAM FOR MATAMATA. To-morrow a rink from the Paeroa Bowling Club will journey co Matamata, where it will endeavour to regain the Goldfields Stars, at present held by the; Matamata team. The local team will be selected from the following this evening: W. N. Chamberlain, W. Perston, W. Purdie. J. Pinder, F. Marsh, and C. Holes. The remaining members of; the, club are to carry on with the; Brenan Memorial Shield competition. It is expected that the members of the Auckland Orphans’ Club will be, the guests of the bowling club to-morrow afternoon, in which case several rinks will be reserved for their use. The recent weather has been very favourable to the growth of grass on the bowling green, and considering the amount of play there has been since the. season opened the green has never looked better.
