NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council held on Thursday, the 10th day of November, 1927, the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on Thursday, the Bth day of December, 1927, at 7.30 p.m., at the Council Chambers, Normanby Road, Paeroa : — RESOLUTION.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, and by section 119 of the Public Works Act, 1908, and amendments, and by virtue of a Warrant dated the twenty-fourth day of June, 1926, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General under the provisions of the said Section 119 of the Public Works Act, 1908, and amendments, and gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette on the 24th day of June, 1926, at page 1812, and of every other* power (if any) it thereunto enabling, Orders in Council in pursuance of Section 20 of the Finance Act, 1919, and Section 114 of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, having been obtained authorising the Council to borrow, the Paeroa Borough Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows :— (1) THAT the Council proceed to raise a loan of One thousand eight hundred- pounds (£1,800) for the purpose of providing its share of the cost of constructing a bridge over the Ohinemuri River at Paeroa. (2) THAT the said loan be called “The Paeroa Borough Criterion Bridge Loan of £l,BOO, 1927.” (3) THAT the currency of the said loan shall be for a period of thirty-six and. one-half (36|) years commencing on the first day of November, 1927, and maturing on the first day of May, 1964. (4) THAT the interest on the said loan shall be at the rate of Six pounds £6 0s Od) per centum per annum payable half-yearly on each first day of May and November in each year.

(5) THAT the form of security for the payment of principal and interest on the said loan shall be one (1) debenture of one thousand eight hundred pounds (£1,800) and relative coupons in a form in conformity with the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926. (6) THAT the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the interest, sinking fund, anR other charges thereon the special rate of seven thirty-seconds (7-32nd) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Paeroa. (7) THAT the sinking fund on the said loan shall be at the rate of one pound (£1) per centum per aflnum payable in each year on the Ist day of November until the debenture of the said loan shall- have been fully paid off.

(8) THAT the principal and interest shall be payable at the Bank of New Zealand, Wellington.

(9) THAT the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year of the said loan be paid out of the loan. Dated this 16th day of November, 1927. Wm. C.
