Attention was drawn by Or. W. Turner at the last meeting of the, Borough Council to a lot of rubbish that had been dumped on the stopbank behind the Criterion Hotel in Cassrels Street. The rubbish looked very unsightly, and was contrary to the by-laws. The Mayor said that no rubbish should be dumped in the borough without a permit. He would have the matter looked into.
