HAMILTON STOCK SALE.
The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:—
At our Frankton yards on Tuesday last we had a good yarding of beef, fat sheep and fat pigs, and a small entry of store cattle and store pigs. Beef was slightly easier, and mutton was firm and equal to previous week. There was no improvement in the price of fat pigs, with good competition for stores. We quote :— Prime heavy fat cows £6 14s to £7 7s 6d, lighter £5 10s to £6 6s ; prime fat heifers £7 ss-to £8 ss. No ox beet' was yarded. Forward cows £4 to £4 10s; store cows £2 10s to £3 ss; 2year Holstein heifers £3 18s ; choice Jersey dairy cows £l2 to £l2 10s ; springing heifers £5 to £7 ; bulls £3 to £6 ; heavy fat shorn wethers 25s 6d to 27 ; best shorn fat ewes 13s 9d to 19s 5d ; shorn fat hoggets 23s 6d, small fat shorn wethers 24s 5d ; best baeoners £2 18s to £3 ; porkers £2 4s to £2 8s ; good stores 35s to 38s; weaners 15s to 19s.
