The friends) of Mr E. G. Preston, of the secondary department of the local district high, school, will be sorry to learn that after feeling unwell for some days he was last night removed to the Thames Hospital, where an operation for appendicitis was immediately performed. Advice received this morning indicates that Mr Preston’s condition is as satisfactory as can be expected.
